Queens Metropolitan High School
Our mission is for 100% of our students to attend and graduate from a college of their choice.
Our instructional focus for the year is to provide students with opportunities to engage in productive struggle to push their thinking and force them to think critically; and to insist that students use evidence to make claims through whole class discussion and/or writing.
Queens Metropolitan High School shares its bright campus, opened in 2010, with the Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School (MELS) and a District 75 program for students with disabilities (P233).
Each school has its own designated entrance, classrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, and library while sharing a large modern auditorium.
Through their academic courses, QMHS students will study and develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits of successful professionals.
As upperclassmen, QMHS students will have the opportunity to earn college credit through College Now courses, AP courses, and other venues that will support their future goals.
