PTA Election Meeting May 11th, 2021

Dear QMHS Families,

The Nominating Committee is looking for parents and guardians who are interested in joining the PTA Executive Board or School Leadership Team (SLT). If you’re interested in running for a parent leadership position or need any more information on the duties involved in serving on either body, please email us at PTA@queensmetro.com.

 

Parents/Guardians can nominate themselves or a fellow parent/guardian for any role on the list below. Nominations will close and the elections will take place at the May 11th PTA meeting.

Parent University https://parentu.schools.nyc/ is a course registration and management system where NYC families can find free training on a wide range of topics. Parent University serves all families, from early childhood through adulthood, and seeks to educate and empower them as partners and advocates through free courses, resources, events, and activities.

Since we officially launched on November 24, 2020 we have:

The DOE’s Parent University invites NYC families to a series of virtual courses on social-emotional learning (SEL). In these courses, families will learn strategies and have access to tools that promote a successful learning environment for their children. Courses will be conducted in English, Spanish, and Chinese, and taught by DOE partners at Ramapo For Children. 

The  DOE’s Parent University seeks to educate and empower all families from early childhood through adulthood, with free courses, resources, events, and activities. Parents can register for free trainings on a wide range of topics, including adult education, student social-emotional learning, and special education.
